Puerto Rico has been struck by multiple sizable earthquakes lately.
The beleaguered island has had to endure multiple natural disasters the last few years with the recent series of earthquakes being the latest.
Many people don’t realize that the Caribbean is a very seismically active region because multiple geologic plates border the Caribbean plate. Earthquakes are more likely because the movement of the plates can create tension where they collide and grind on each other.
