Because of the anti-vaxxer movement, measles, which had been well controlled in the United States, is returning.
This is disgraceful. The anti-vaxxer movement is based on false information and unfounded scare tactics.
Vaccines are very safe. Reactions beyond things like mild soreness or slight flu-like symptoms are extremely rare.
The risks of diseases such as measles, rubella, and other infections to unvaccinated people (especially children) are much, much greater as the statistics above show.
